Eidos Montreal releases teaser video for Deus Ex: The Fall

Developer Eidos Montreal has released a teaser video that reveals that the company has been working on the next Deus Ex game. The video is for a game dubbed Deus Ex: The Fall, and asks the question, “Are we ready to begin?” Similarly, the company had earlier posted a message on its Twitter account asking, “Are YOU ready for The Fall?” The teaser was also released over Vine. The teaser video hints to a lot of the game having the same general art direction as that of Deus Ex: Human Revolution, however, we haven't actually seen anything from the game yet. The teaser also shows a date: 05/06/13. This could mean that the company will be revealing more information about the game tomorrow.

Back in March, it was discovered that Ubisoft Montreal's publisher Square Enix had registered three domain names related to the franchise. Last week the company was found to have registered a domain for something called Deus Ex: Human Defiance, which turned out to be related to a movie based on the franchise. This time around, the company has been found registering the domain names DeusExTheFall.com, DeusExTheFall.co.uk, and DeusExTheFall.net.

While the domains may be related to an upcoming enhanced “Special Edition” of Deus Ex: Human Revolution, you'd think the company would stick to the more recognisable Human Revolution moniker instead of opting for a new one. In light of this, The Fall seems more likely to be a new game in the franchise.
