DIGILITE launches affordable AMD Fusion-based motherboard

DIGILITE motherboard brand of Smartlink Network Systems Ltd. has announced the launch of its new motherboard, the DL-AHD1S-K. The AHD1S-K is based on the AMD Hudson D1 A45 chipset with an advanced DirectX 11 graphics engine with AMD UVD 3.0 technology. The AHD1S offers enhanced connectivity and entertainment capability, backed-up by high-performance features and components. This product is suitable for AIO, digital signage, diskless nodes, cloud computing applications. AHD1S-K offers UVD supports Blu-ray and HD-DVD content, whilst offloading power and processor-intensive video decoding from the CPU to the graphics core. It’s powered by AMD the Zacate APU processors with UMI technology, and supports single DDR3 1066MHz memory for better overall system performance. This unique Dual Core on board CPU at 1.6GHz means users can enjoy higher frame rates on the latest gaming titles, utilizing the processing power of both discrete and onboard graphics processors. While most Zacate- based boards are priced above 5K, DIGILITE has priced the DL-AHD1S-K at a very affordable Rs.4,299.

The motherboard also comes with burnt warranty and undergoes salt analysis to avoid rusting. You also get Japanese solid state capacitors at CPU VRM area for a better lifespan. The motherboard comes with a three year warranty as well. Despite its size and low price, it doesn’t compromise on features. The CPU is covered by a single block of aluminium without any fan, so it’s absolutely silent making it perfect for an HTPC. In terms of connectivity, we get six USB 2.0 ports in the back, PS2 keyboard port, VGA, DVI and HDMI, Gigabit LAN and multi-channel audio jacks. The board also has two RAM slots and a PCIE graphics card slot as well, so in case you wish to do a bit of gaming, you can always plonk an entry-level GPU in there. However, in case you’re building a mean HTPC, then you can swap the GPU for any good PCIE sound card for your system. This is a very affordable solution and a good place to start if you’re building an HTPC.
