CES 2015: Five companies we expect great gadgets from

The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is the first technology extravaganza which sets the tone for the rest of the year. CES 2015 is no different and hopes to bring in spectacular gadgets with a hint of sci-fi and most importantly, products that will hopefully help add value to our lives.The media keeps a sharp eye on the top companies and what they can in fact, bring to the table. Just a few days away, we look into the top 5 companies at CES 2015 who we expect great gadgets from.[caption id="attachment_221423" align="alignnone" width="640"] Image: AP[/caption]1. SamsungMaybe it wasn't a typically good year for Samsung Electronics. But CES could prove positive for the company. Ahead of the event, the company has already announced that their new smart TVs will run on Tizen OS in 2015. With a Tizen OS based smart TV, Samsung is also departing from the Android reliance for the smart TV platform, a bold move. Apart from this, the company also announced a 12-inch Series 9 laptop and Series 7 AIO with curved display. Though we have seen a range of wearables from the company, we hope to see a lot more innovation than just the change in size.2. LGLG on the other hand, had a good year. It did a marvelous job with the LG G3, which could be regarded as one the top smartphones in 2014. We are curious to see if the company blows our mind and reveals the LG G4. It is even suspected that the company could release their G Flex 2 according to Android Authority.  It is said to have a Full HD resolution along with a dramatic bending capability and improved self-healing. The company definitely plans to go big on television sets, just like Samsung. SonyThere is no argument here that Sony has had a rough couple of months towards the end of 2014. With Sony Pictures being hacked, a lot of vital information had been leaked out to the media. It was because of this leak that Xperia Z4 images were discovered. The leaked attachment has also shown images of what looks to be an activity tracker or a smartwatch. These products could have been saved for CES but unfortunately, the world had a look at it. The company said it will also introduce latest products and technology in 4K UHD, Hi-Res Audio, Digital Imaging and Mobile.[caption id="attachment_222265" align="alignnone" width="640"] HTC One M8 with Duo Camera[/caption]4. HTCHTC One M8 might have been the one of the most beautiful smartphones of 2014. In terms of hardware, it had everything right. HTC is now expected to launch the HTC One M9 at CES 2015. Another device which is rumored to launch is the HTC One Wear smartwatch. HTC could also launch a new Desire smartphone at the event. XiaomiXiaomi could be one of the fastest growing brands we have even seen. With barely any advertising and only social media pushes, it has captured the crowd brilliantly and users have faith in their products. Now that the company has received great success along with huge profits, they need to spend their money wisely. There are strong rumours that the company could launch their Xiaomi Mi 5 at CES 2015. A few leaked images showcase that the phone could sport sapphire glass and a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor.
