Barkily on Kickstarter: the ultimate app for pet dogs

Barkily is a Kickstarter to make an app for dog people by dog people. The app plans to include all the tools necessary to keep track of the lives of pet dogs, as well as build a community of dog owners. The app works for multiple dogs. Dogs get profiles with basic information such as weight, age, gender and height, which can be useful when administering medicines. Users can keep track of medication, vet visits, vaccination, grooming, kennel boarding, feeding and supplements. Keeping track of all of this for multiple dogs can be daunting, which is what the app hopes to simplify.Apart from tracking the daily lives of the dogs, the Barkily app also works as a platform for all those offering dog related products and services. Local vendors of treats, dog groomers, dog sitters, dog walkers can all use the app as a platform to expand their business. The tracking and networking will be available for free.There is a premium version of the app as well, which costs $20 (roughly Rs 1,343) a month or $210 (roughly Rs 14,110) a year. The premium version will give out a mixed bag of goodies from local vendors, provide monthly samples of treats, and give coupons and discounts for local products and services every month.  The total value of these will be more than $20. The app is using Kickstarter as a marketing tool to build a network of users, and increase partnerships with local businesses offering dog related products. The project is not live at the moment, so there are no funding goals put up at the moment.
