Asus launches ZenFone C 'ultra-affordable' smartphone in India for Rs 5,999
Asus has launched a new budget smartphone termed Zenfone C (ZC451CG) in India at an affordable price of Rs. 5,999. The device was reported launched in Malaysia last month.

Asus has launched a new budget smartphone termed Zenfone C (ZC451CG) in India at an affordable price of Rs 5,999. The device was reportedly launched in Malaysia last month.The device has a 4.5 inch IPS display with a pixel resolution of 854 x 480. It is powered by 1.2 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2520 processor with Hyper-Threading Technology paired with 1GB of RAM.The smartphone also includes a 5MP 'PixelMaster' rear autofocus camera with flash and f/2.0 lens,along with a 0.3MP front facing camera with an f/2.8 aperture. Asus claims that, "PixelMaster's low light mode employs pixel-merging technology to capture up to 400 per cent-brighter photos at night, or in low-light scenes, without the need for a flash."The Asus ZenFone C (ZC451CG) sports an 8GB of inbuilt storage which can be further expanded to 64GB via microSD card. The dual-SIM smartphone runs Android 4.4 KitKat OS with the Asus Zen UI atop. The phone packs in a 2100 mAh removable battery that is claimed to offer 30 hours of 3G talk time and over 10 days of standby.In other features, the device includes 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS, Glonass, and a micro USB connectivity port. The phone is available in three colours namely red, white and black and weighs 149 grams.The Zenfone C will be available on Flipkart from 11th February and will be available in Asus exclusive stores from 18th February.
