Asus has shipped its newest 12 inch notebook, the U5F, in India. The laptop is eco-friendly as all its parts from interior components to exterior housing and paint are environment friendly and comply with RoHS regulations Directive 2002/95/EC (Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment).The notebook weighs in at only 1.4kg with seamless touch pad design allowing users to type and navigate the cursor in one fluid operation. It incorporates the incorporated 'Splendid Color Enhancement Engine' technology, which allows the 12.1" LCD screen to displays images with enhanced contrast, brightness, and skin tone and color saturation for vivid presentations. Equipped with Dual Core processors, the U5F enables users to simultaneously run demanding applications, such as running virus scan while talking on Skype and surfing the Net. It even has Bluetooth V2.0+EDR (Enhanced Data Rate)  that allows omnidirectional wireless connection and enables a high data transfer rate of 2.1 Mbps that is three times faster than standard Bluetooth without EDR.The notebook is priced at Rs 79,000 with a 2 yr warranty and is available through authorized Asus dealers.ASUS U5F.jpg
