Archos announced the 50D Oxygen, the latest smartphone to grace their line-up. The device flaunts a 5 inch IPS display with a resolution of 1080p (440ppi) and is expected to retail at £129 (~Rs.12,700). Archos is expected to showcase the device at MWC 2016 this month. In terms of hardware, the device packs in a MediaTek MT6753 chipset (1.3GHz Cortex A53 CPU with 8 cores), 2GB of RAM and a measly 16GB of internal storage, with support for expandable storage. You also get 4G LTE support and dual-sim functionality. In terms of cameras, you get a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. The battery is a removable, 2100mAh affair. As far as we can tell, the only real downsides are the fact that the device will run Android 5.1 at launch and doesn’t feature NFC.Weighing in at 141g, the device is a touch heavier than the iPhone 6. The dimensions are claimed to be 141.4×70.8×8.2 mm.On paper, the specs are on par with what we've come to expect at this price, but we'll reserve judgement for when we actually get our hands on it.
