Apple iOS 9.1 update causes Touch ID fingerprint detection issues

A number of Apple users are reportedly complaining about issues related to the fingerprint sensor after installing the latest iPhone software update officially from Apple. Most of the cases have have gained light from Apple's community forum and Reddit. Most of the Apple users wrote that the update has caused the Touch ID across iPads and iPhones to break.A user wrote on the community page, "I have set up the Touch ID a number of times and it works successfully for a short time and then it fails. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem?" After this post, many users commented on how they encountered the same problem. A user replied stating, "I Have the same problem with my 6 plus....  After update to 9.0.2, the touch id only works sometimes.  I thought I was alone, but lots of users are having the same problem. After resetting the fingerprints, they again failed on the next day."As of now, Apple hasn't commented on the issue. To deal with the problem, a few users have also tried to hard reset their devices, that is holding the power and home button for 10 seconds, but have failed. According to discussions held on the company page, a user stated that, "My iphone 6 touch id also failed after update ios 9.1. This is very poor service from Apple."A report by Forbes points put that tech experts have criticised Apple's discontinuance of providing downgrade routes, that would have allowed users to switch back to a more usable version of gadgets software in case they experience issues with newer releases.
