Apple announces educational 'Today at Apple' sessions; to teach art, coding and more from May

Apple has announced plans to launch over a dozen educational sessions across its 495 Apple Stores next month.The programme called 'Today at Apple' will focus on topics ranging from photo, video, music, coding, art, design and more. The sessions will be conducted by trained team members. And in certain select cities, these sessions will be conducted by professional artists, photographers and musicians. It will launch worldwide from May onwards.These sessions will be conducted at Apple Stores as a means to educate and inspire its community. The sessions will focus on features of Apple products which can be used across all skill and age levels. For instance, entry level photographers could start off with six how-to sessions on photography covering the basics, whereas advanced users could go out on Photo Walks and so on."‘Today at Apple’ is one of the ways we’re evolving our experience to better serve local customers and entrepreneurs. We’re creating a modern-day town square, where everyone is welcome in a space where the best of Apple comes together to connect with one another, discover a new passion, or take their skill to the next level. We think it will be a fun and enlightening experience for everyone who joins," said Apple SVP for retail, Angela Ahrendts.Apple will also offer special programs for families and educators. Teachers can come together for Teacher Tuesday to learn new ways to incorporate technology into their classrooms, or aspiring coders of all ages can learn how to code in Swift, Apple’s programming language for iOS and Mac apps.You can get a whole list of planned programmes here.
