Android P will allow you to use your smartphone as a Bluetooth keyboard or mouse

Google is expected to release the first version of the Android P Developer preview around mid-March. The features expected on the operating system have leaked for past few months and the latest one hints that Android P might come with the ability to use your smartphone (with Android P) as a Bluetooth keyboard or mouse.[caption id="attachment_4274867" align="alignleft" width="380"]

Android. Pixabay[/caption]According to a report on XDADevelopers the Bluetooth Human Interface Device (HID) profile has been enabled in the latest version of the Android. Google Pixel and Google Pixel 2 will be few of the first devices to get the Android P update and access to the new features. The report mentions that the relevant APIs of the feature have been un-hidden, suggesting that the Android devices running on Android P will be able to use the feature.Enabling the Bluetooth feature will allow you to use various 'Bluetooth Profiles' such as Hands-Free-Profile and Advanced Audio Distribution Profile that helps in transmitting uncompressed audio signals while calling or listing to music, making it a better experience.According to the report, Android did not implement support for HID in the Bluetooth stack of the previous Android versions, making it difficult for developers to enable the Bluetooth feature through third-party apps. The feature can also be used to control workplace presentations or as a media remote for devices.Other features that were leaked earlier includes a native iris scanner, stricter and enhanced call blocking function. It will allow the telecom service providers to control the LTE signal bars on the user devices. Android P will also take into consideration the iPhone X like 'notch' design element on devices and won't allow the idle background apps to access the camera.
