Analyst tips 4-inch Apple iPhone 6c/7c as the iPhone 5e
The new Apple iPhone that is expected to bring back a refreshed iPhone 5c with a 4 inch display is once again getting christened as the iPhone 5e.
While the rumour mill seems to be going into a tizzy with speculations of the upcoming iPhones, they should be. This is more so because the expected launch of Apple's refreshed 4-inch smartphone is expected to happen in March itself. However, the new iPhone that is expected to bring back a refreshed iPhone 5c with a 4 inch display is once again getting christened as the iPhone 5e.Yes, after a number of rumours, it indeed seems that Apple may have something special in store for 2016 after all. That special smartphone is expected to be an affordable model, made out of metal, that was recently leaked out by serial tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer. A Chinese analyst now claims that the same model that many have been referring to as the iPhone 6c or the iPhone 7c, will actually be called the iPhone 5e!The 'e' in the iPhone 5e stands for 'enhanced'. The same was revealed via a Weibo post by the analyst who said that new iPhone 5e brings some much needed features like NFC, Apple Pay Support and VoLTE connectivity to Apple's affordable range. The analyst also mentions that Apple is expected to pack in the A8 chipset from the iPhone 6 and that, it will be paired with 1GB of RAM. The camera is expected to be an 8MP one that is once again in line with the iPhone 6.Lastly, there was also some talk about the iPhone 5e's pricing. The expected price is supposed to be CNY 3,288 in China, which converts to Rs 33,500. While this may sound a bit pricey to many, keeping Apple's iPhone 6s prices in mind, this may turn out to be a sweeter deal than the iPhone 6 that currently retails for Rs 39,000 for the 16GB model in India.
