It is the largest private foundation in the world, which he carries forward with his wife Melinda Gates. Instagram promptly welcomed the richest man on the Earth through the comments. In his first multiple photo post, he has shared some of his philanthropic work in Tanzania. In these photos he seems to be engaging with Tanzania locals, especially children and social workers.

Earlier in July, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos joined Instagram. The Microsoft co-founder already has more than 35 thousand followers. However, as per his Instagram account, he seems to keep the page for his philanthropic activities and various other interests. It is yet to be seen if Bill Gates goes beyond sharing his charity work and engages with the audience the way many, like Bezos, do on Twitter.
