Meta announced on Thursday that it is introducing a new AI-powered creator assistant on Facebook that will provide personalised recommendations based on a creator's content style, performance metrics, audience engagement, and growth goals.

Creators often have to sift through charts, dashboards, and analytics tools to understand how their content is performing. With the new AI assistant, they can instead ask straightforward questions such as, "When should I post?" or "What are the most common criticisms of my recent videos?" and receive quick, tailored insights.

Because the assistant is conversational, creators can also ask follow-up questions and explore topics in greater depth, such as how their audience demographics have evolved over time. The assistant's responses are based on the creator's historical performance data and can include suggestions to help improve future content.

The new assistant is rolling out to creators in the United States, Canada, and India, with Meta planning to expand availability and add new capabilities in the future. By integrating the tool directly into Facebook, Meta also reduces creators' reliance on third-party AI services such as ChatGPT for content brainstorming and performance analysis, helping keep users within its ecosystem.

Meta also announced plans to expand AI translation capabilities on Facebook by adding support for additional languages, including Arabic, Bahasa Indonesia, French, Thai, and Vietnamese.

Through AI-translated Reels, a creator's voice, tone, and speaking style can be preserved while content is automatically translated into another language. The feature was introduced last year with the goal of helping creators reach broader audiences by breaking down language barriers.

Creators can also enable a lip-syncing feature that aligns translated audio with their facial movements, making videos appear more natural and authentic. According to Meta, AI-translated videos are now watched by more than 500 million Facebook users every week.
