Tom Clancy's The Division is an online open world third person tactical shooter with both pve (player vs engine) and pvp (player vs player) modes. The second of two free updates landed on May 24 on all platforms. Ubisoft has been teasing the update over the past few weeks with various posts on social media platforms. The trailer contains a quick overview of what the update includes.
The update contains additional end-game content for capped players (players who've hit the level cap). The incursion mode is the star attraction here, which is only available for those over level 30. There are tougher bosses with an incursion, that is similar to a raid. The four member party is expected to be equipped with end-game gear to tackle the more difficult enemies. Additional content for end-game, level 30 players, are the addition of high-value targets, as well as search-and-destroy missions. The intelligence for these targets will be available once players finish all missions and side quests in a named area. There are daily and weekly missions. And yes, there is more gear. The new gear allows users to explore various play styles, depending on what they find fun. There are four new gear sets, Final Measure, Hunter's Faith, Lone Star and Predator's Mask.https://twitter.com/TheDivisionGame/status/734051661736517632There are now sealed caches with cooler loot. Matchmaking at level cap has been restricted to other capped players. A bunch of high-end weapons have been added as well. These include the Hungry Dog LMG, the Centurion pistol, the Medved shotgun and the Historian marksman rifle. Loot balancing has also been tweaked to make the drops more generous. There are bug fixes particular to each platform. The patch notes can be found here.If the patch notes are too long a read, the video below should explain everything.
