Asus Republic of Gamers (ROG) claims that the Zephyrus is the world's slimmest gaming laptop to feature an Intel Core i7 7th Generation  Kaby Lake processor along with Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card.

While the price tag may not be a consumer friendly, the Zephyrus packs the latest and greatest when it comes to internal specifications despite its slim profile. The 15.6-inch 120Hz G-Sync panel boasts 100 percent sRGB colour gamut coverage making it a perfect fit on-paper, both for gamers as well as content creators.

Other highlights of the Asus ROG Zephyrus include a full RGB keyboard along with separate highlighting options for WASD and QWER key groups making it easier for gamers to use the key combinations along with an exclusive cooling system. Asus has named this cooling system as 'Active Aerodynamic System' (AAS). This drastically increases the speed and efficiency of airflow through the laptop.

The ROG Zephyrus also comes with Microsoft's Windows 10 Creators Update, which enables better gaming performance through Windows Game Mode while also making it easier to stream games using Microsoft Beam.

However, the main highlight of Zephyrus is that it is the first laptop with Max-Q design. The design standard introduced by Nvidia back in May at Computex 2017 has finally made it to India with the Zephyrus. For the uninitiated, Max-Q is a combination of design, thermals and power consumption solutions to achieve a balanced power to performance ratio.

It is baffling how Max-Q can achieve this balance keeping the laptop chassis as slim as 18mm. However, Max-Q is limited to Nvidia's top end GPU's including the GTX 1060, 1070 and 1080 and it does not support mid-level or entry-level graphic cards. The Zephyrus also features Nvidia's WhisperMode technology, which makes the notebook run quieter while gaming. WhisperMode intelligently paces frame rates while gaming, simultaneously configuring the graphics settings for optimal power efficiency.
