Apple Health app update adds menopause and perimenopause tracking support
Apple's iOS 27 focuses on performance upgrades, broader health features, and improved user experiences while maintaining support for all iPhones compatible with iOS 26

As had been widely reported ahead of the event, Apple has spent considerable time this year focusing on bug fixes and performance improvements for iOS 27. As a result, the new operating system is expected to feel noticeably faster and more responsive than iOS 26.
Apple highlighted several examples of these performance gains during the presentation. According to the company, iOS 27 delivers faster app launches, quicker photo processing, improved AirDrop speeds, and enhanced file transfers on iPadOS. Apple also confirmed that iOS 27 will support all iPhone models currently compatible with iOS 26.
Alongside the revamped Siri and the unveiling of macOS Golden Gate, Apple also announced new additions to its Health app at WWDC on Monday. The app will now include support for menopause and perimenopause tracking, accompanied by educational content designed to help users better understand and manage these life stages.
Apple has partnered with the American Academy of Pediatrics to create a Family Media Plan aimed at ensuring appropriate content exposure for users under 18 across personal devices. With these new child-focused guidelines, Apple plans to give parents greater control over what their children can access and view.
