Copa America 2024 awards: Lautaro Martinez, James Rodriguez, Emiliano Martinez win accolades
Argentina won the Copa America title for a record 16th time when they beat Colombia in the final.

Argentina bagged a record 16th Copa America title after beating Colombia 1-0 with an extra-time goal from Lautaro Martinez.
The final was pushed by an hour after unruly scenes at the Hard Rock Stadium in Florida with ticketless fans getting entry and many needing medical attention. Additionally, there was serious damage to property as USA's preparedness for the Club World Cup and FIFA World Cup coming into question.
On the game itself, Martinez, who came off the bench in extra time, converted a precise through ball from Giovani Lo Celso into a goal by lifting his effort over advancing Colombia goalkeeper Camilo Vargas in the 112th minute.
In the trophy ceremony that followed, awards were handed out for stellar individual performance over the past three weeks.

Golden Boot (top goalscorer): Lautaro Martinez (Argentina - 5 goals)
