Sukant Kadam's dream of fighting for gold on Paralympic debut in Paris came to an end with a defeat in straight games at the hands of Suhas Yathiraj.
Yathiraj defeated Kadam 21-17, 21-12 in an all-Indian men's singles SL4 semi-final on Sunday to confirm his second consecutive medal at the Paralympics.

Having won silver in the Tokyo Games three years ago, IAS officer Yathiraj will be hoping to upgrade his medal to gold and stand on top of the podium.
However, it's not the end of the road for Maharashtra's Kadam, who can sign off with a bronze medal around his neck on Monday provided he is able to defeat Indonesia's Fredy Setiawan.
