Obama's speech revealed the true colours of Modi, says Lalu Prasad Yadav
RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav said that US President Barack Obama's speech revealed the true colours of PM Narendra Modi.

RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav said that it was unfortunate that a country which gave Gandhi to the world was being sermonised by Obama. AFP[/caption]"The country which gave Mahatma Gandhi to the world, and whose principles of non-violence were emulated by Martin Luther King and Nelson Mandela, is being told by Obama that division on the basis of colour and religion is not right. What else is left now," Prasad said."A big danger is hovering over our country as it is being divided in the name of religion. They (BJP) have come up with the bogey of conversion to remain in power. Thanks to Obama, we have recognised the true colours of (Prime Minister Narendra) Modi," he added.Prasad was speaking at the birth anniversary function of socialist leader and former Bihar Chief Minister Karpoori Thakur at state RJD headquarters in Patna.Branding BJP as an "American party", he alleged that the USA and the people living there had played a big role in its victory in the Lok Sabha elections last year."When Obama comes, our Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other ministers go to the airport to welcome him, but if any of our ministers go to the US they are not given any respect. They are strip-searched there," Prasad said. The RJD supremo said Thakur's dream was to unite people and ensure progress of the downtrodden, but the BJP was doing just opposite. He asked the people to get ready to agitate and save the country from getting divided and pointed out that he had implemented recommendations of the Mandal Commission regarding reservation for the backwards castes.PTI
