From Narendra Modi to Manohar Parrikar: BJP congratulates party members on 35th anniversary
Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated all the party workers of the party in a series of tweets, saluting the party workers for their dedication and hard work.

Guess what's special about today? No?Well, we don't blame you.Today Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) celebrates its 35th anniversary of its foundation day.Founded in 1980, the right-wing party has come a long way in the past three and a half decades — from Atal Bihari Vajpayee becoming the first prime minister from the party in 1998 to the saffron wave sweeping the country in 2014.The party has seen many ups and downs (to put it mildly), and with the veterans gone, continues to grapple with its identity in contemporary India. But Wednesday was all about celebrations and congratulating the party on where it finds itself today.Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated all the party workers of the party in a series of tweets, saluting the party workers for their dedication and hard work.Other party members and political figures were equally enthusiastic about the event: All district party units have made preparations to celebrate the event, reports The Times of India."Party members will hold discussions on inclusive governance and development with people across 25,000 polling booths of the state," said BJP state president Ravindra Rai at a press conference at the party headquarters.
