Delhi polls: Six candidates file nominations on first day
Independent candidates Nafe Singh Rajput and Vijay Choudhary filed their nominations from Burari and Jangpura constituency respectively.

New Delhi: Six candidates filed their papers on the first day of nomination for the 4 December assembly polls in Delhi.Chief Electoral officer Vijay Dev said that the Commission received seven applications out of which two were filed by the same candidate.BJP leaders Sat Prakash Rana and Renu Rana filed their nomination from Bijwasan.[caption id="attachment_1220495" align="alignleft" width="380"]

Reuters[/caption] Bitto Singh of Hindustan Janata Party filed his papers from Trilokpuri and Shiv Kumar Tiwari from Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha filed his nomination from New Delhi constituency. Independent candidates Nafe Singh Rajput and Vijay Choudhary filed their nominations from Burari and Jangpura constituency respectively.Dev said that the Commission received two applications in the name of Sat Prakash Rana which will be counted as one. The nominations for the Delhi assembly polls can be filed till 16 November and scrutiny will take place on 18 November. The last date of withdrawing from the electoral race is 20 November. PTI
