As we observe Hanuman Jayanti 2026 today, here’s a look at some of the majestic statues of Lord Hanuman located beyond India.

1. Batu Caves Hanuman Statue, Malaysia

One of the most prominent Lord Hanuman statues outside India stands at Batu Caves near Kuala Lumpur.

At approximately 42.7 metres (140 feet), this towering green statue depicts the deity carrying a mace and standing guard near the famous limestone caves.

The site attracts millions of visitors annually, particularly during the Thaipusam festival, making it both a religious and tourist landmark.

2. Carapichaima Hanuman Murti, Trinidad and Tobago

Standing at around 26 metres (85 feet), the Carapichaima Hanuman Murti is one of the tallest Hanuman statues in the Western Hemisphere.

Built in 2003 by the Indian diaspora, it symbolises the preservation of cultural identity among descendants of indentured labourers.

The site continues to draw devotees and visitors, especially during major Hindu festivals.

3. Statue of Union, Sugar Land near Houston, Texas

One of the most striking examples of Lord Hanuman’s global presence is the Statue of Union at the Sri Ashtalakshmi Temple in Sugar Land, Texas, United States.

Unveiled in August 2024, this 90‑foot‑tall bronze murti is not only the tallest statue of Lord Hanuman outside India but also ranks among the tallest statues in the United States, exceeded only by the Statue of Liberty and the Pegasus and Dragon sculpture in Florida.

Designed to symbolise selflessness, devotion and unity, the statue, named to honour the deity's role in reuniting Lord Rama and Sita, was inaugurated during a grand prana pratishtha ceremony that drew thousands of devotees and well‑wishers.

4. Hanuman statue, Delware, US

In the United States, one of the most remarkable Hanuman statues stands at the Hindu Temple of Delaware in Hockessin, where a 25‑foot‑tall granite statue of Lord Hanuman was installed in 2020.

Carved from a single block of black granite by skilled artisans in Warangal, the statue weighs around 30 to 45 tonnes and was transported overland and by sea to Delaware.
