'What an year it was': Jaishankar on MEA tableau highlighting India's successful G20 Presidency on Republic Day

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar was all praise for the year gone by as he witnessed the MEA tableau highlighting India's successful G20 Presidency during the Republic Day parade at Kartavya Pathin the national capital on Friday."Great to see the MEA tableau of G20 at the #RepublicDay Parade. What an year it was!" Jaishankar wrote on X, along with a video of the MEA tableau.The MEA tableau depicted the successful completion of India's G20 presidency and its achievements. It also reflected India's leadership of addressing global issues in an ambitious, decisive, inclusive and action-orientated manner.The front part of the tableau featured Nalanda Maha Vihara, surmounted by the G20 Logo. The theme of the G20 ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ or one Earth, One Family, One Future affirmed the value of all life and their interconnectedness on our planet.The trailer depicts major achievements based on presidency priorities. Indian Presidency’s decision to make African Union a full member is shown by joining of hands in Namaste mudra, one showing Indian and another African Union’s flags.The sides have Life (Lifestyle for Environment) installations. Financial transactions over two mobile phones depict India’s success in Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI). A tree coming out of heap of coins depict the Green Development. On the sides value of millets as super-food is depicted with Queen of Millets.Spiral upward movement of woman from across the world is depicting women-led development.Bharatmandapam is where the G20 Presidency culminated with leaders summit which unanimously adopted the New Delhi Declaration.Right below is a replica of Konark wheel symbolising continuous progress, which served as the backdrop for Prime Minister’s welcome handshake with G20 leaders.With this successful People’s Presidency under the leadership of Prime Minister, India emerged as 'Vishwa Mitra'.
