Wagh Bakri owner Parag Desai dies of brain haemorrhage, fell after stray dogs attack during morning walk

Parag Desai, owner and executive director of popular tea brand Wagh Bakri, passed away in Gujarat's Ahmedabad. He was 49.

The Wagh Bakri owner died on Sunday evening in a private hospital in which he was admitted after sustaining injured in a freak accident near his residence.

Parag Desai is survived by his wife Vidisha and daughter Parisha.

How did Wagh Bakri's Parag Desai die?

The owner of Wagh Bakri chai died after a brain haemorrhage caused by a fall while he was trying to evade stray dogs.

On October 15, Parag Desai was out for a morning walk near Iscon Ambli road in Ahmedabad, within the vicinity of his resident. During that time, he slipped when he was trying to fend off a few stray dogs.

He was rushed to Shelby Hospital, but was later shifted to another private hospital on Hebatpur Road as his health condition started to worsen. He had undergone a surgery and has been on a ventilator since.

Desai's death was confirmed by Wagh Bakri Tea in a post on Instagram. "With profound grief and sorrow, we regret to inform the sad demise of our beloved Shri Parag Desai," read the post.
