A video of the horrific incident in which three people, including a 10-month-old boy, were rammed into a platform at a bus terminus in Andhra Pradesh's Vijayawada is going viral on social media.The incident occurred on Monday around 8:30 am when the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) bus crashed into platform number 12 of the Pandit Nehru bus terminus.Several other passengers were injured in the accident, police said.The video showed the driver of a RTC Metro Luxury bus for Guntur which had arrived to pick up passengers from Vijayawada losing the control of the vehicle due to alleged brake failure.The vehicle is then seen jumping on the platform and mowing down passengers waiting at the bus terminus.Warning: Viewer discretion advisedRegional Manager M Yesu Danam said instead of reversing the bus, the driver moved forward and overshot the platform,Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy Chief Minister Reddy expressed shock over the accident and conveyed condolences to the bereaved families. He has announced Rs 10 lakh ex-gratia each to the kin of those killed in bus accident at the Pandit Nehru bus station in Vijayawada.With inputs from agencies
