In Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh, a Dalit woman was reportedly subjected to a horrifying ordeal, including being drugged, sexually assaulted, and forced to consume beef. The incident unfolded when the survivor's friend, who was also complicit in the crime, lured her to a hotel by promising to repay a debt of Rs 30,000.

According reports, a police official disclosed, "A young woman residing within the jurisdiction of Prem Nagar police area had extended a loan of Rs 30,000 to her acquaintance. On the 1st of September, the said acquaintance summoned her to a hotel under the pretext of settling the debt."

Once she became unconscious, the youths allegedly committed sexual assault, with Shifat recording the horrifying act. Subsequently, they attempted to blackmail the survivor by demanding a sum of Rs 50,000, threatening to release the incriminating video.

The incident came to light when Shifat, the survivor's friend, sent the explicit video to her fiancé, who promptly alerted the authorities. Notably, one of the accused, Shoaib, is identified as a B Pharma student, while Nazim works as a barber. It is believed that the trio had intentions of fleeing to Kashmir, where Nazim's barbershop is situated.

Rahul Bhati, the Superintendent of Police in Bareilly, confirmed the registration of a case under pertinent sections of the Indian Penal Code, including provisions of the SC/ST Act. Furthermore, all three accused have been apprehended by the police.
