Two terrorists gunned down in encounter in J&K's Kulgam
Kashmir Police said that the bodies of the killed terrorists being retrieved from the site of encounter. Cordon and search operation is still underway

Two terrorists have been gunned down by the Jammu and Kashmir Police during an encounter at Kujjar area of Kulgam on Wednesday.In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Kashmir Zone Police said, "02 terrorists killed. Bodies of the killed terrorists being retrieved from the site of encounter. Cordon and search operation is still underway."The encounter in Kulgam broke out days after security forces busted two terror modules in the south Kashmir district and arrested five "hybrid" terrorists. The arrested persons have been identified as Aadil Hussain Wani, Suhail Ahmad Dar, Aitmad Ahmad Laway, Mehraj Ahmad Lone and Sabzar Ahmad Khaar, the official said.A huge quantity of arms and ammunition including two pistols, three hand grenades, one UBGL, two pistol magazines, 12 pistol rounds, and 21 AK-47 rounds was recovered from their possession.Meanwhile, the cordon and search operation at Kalakote in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, entered its third day on Wednesday. Through the operation, the security forces are aiming to locate suspected terrorists hiding in the forested area.The operation was initiated after a confrontation with terrorists on Monday led to the injuries of two Army personnel.With inputs from agencies
