Three JNU students killed in accident inside campus

Doctors said that one of the students had died on the spot while the other two succumbed to their injuries during treatment.

Three students of the Jawaharlal Nehru University were killed when their motorcycle hit a divider and then rammed into a tree on the campus, police said today.The deceased, all in their mid-twenties, have been identified as Ravi Singh Chaudhary and Ravi Shankar Gupta, (Residents of Gaya, Bihar) and Santosh, from Ranchi, Jharkhand.[caption id="attachment_1486473" align="alignleft" width="380"]The accident took place on the campus premises The accident took place on the campus premises[/caption]All of them were studying MA (Korean language) at the University.The incident took place at 2:30 am."The student who was riding the bike lost control over it which first hit a divider of the road and then a tree. All three were seriously injured in the incident. One of them was rushed to AIIMS Trauma Centre and the other two to Safdarjung Hospital by the police," a police official said.Doctors said that one of the students had died on the spot while the other two succumbed to their injuries during treatment.Police has registered a case under at Vasant Kunj North police station and further investigations are on.PTI
