OROP scheme will be certainly implented, assures Gen VK Singh
Minister of State for External Affairs General V K Singh on Thursday asserted that one-rank one-pension (OROP) scheme would certainly be implemented.


General VK Singh. PTI[/caption]"The Prime Minister has made a promise regarding OROP. It would be implemented. There was some delay because calculations are going on. Therefore it is taking time. Let's not lose heart. I have full faith in the Prime Minister. It would be implemented exactly as wanted by the retired Army men," Singh said.Several retired army officers have expressed resentment over the delay in introduction of the OROP scheme.Singh was speaking on the sidelines of a convention on Yoga in the city.When asked by reporters about senior BJP leader L K Advani's warning that emergency-like situation may recur, Singh evaded a direct reply and said, "Go to Advani-ji and ask him in what context he said that."PTI
