LPG price hike: Pay Rs 101 more for 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder from Nov 1; check latest rates

The cost of 14.2 kg domestic LPG, which is used in households for cooking, remained steady and unchanged

The price of commercial LPG cylinders has been hiked by Rs 101.5 per cylinder on Wendesay. The revised price of 19 kg LPG cylinder will be effective from November 1 and will cost Rs 1,833 from Rs 1,731 earlier in Delhi.

This is the second time in two months that the prices of LPG cylinders were increased. On 1 October, 2023, the price was increased by Rs 209 per cylinder.

The price of the 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has been increased by state-run oil marketing companies - Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Bharat Petroleum Corporation, and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation.

While the cost of commercial LPG cylinders have been increased, the cost of domestic LPG, which is used in households for cooking, remained steady and unchanged.

The prices of domestic LPG cylinders were last revised in August, 2023, when they were slashed by Rs 200 per cylinder.

On October 4, the Union Cabinet approved an increase in the cooking gas subsidy, raising it from Rs 200 to Rs 300 per cylinder for approximately 96 million low-income households.
