PTI[/caption]Kumar was in Indore as the special guest at a programme to welcome teams from the All India Students' Federation and the All India Youth Federation, which were passing through Indore during their 'Kanyakumari to Kashmir Yatra'.While addressing a lecture at the Anand Mohar Mathur auditorium, Kumar was heckled as per a report on News18.Activists from local Right-wing organisation, the Bharat Swabhiman Manch, tried to storm the auditorium, claiming they would not let him hold the lecture.The outfit insisted that "those talking about dividing the country won't be allowed to address the event". They also threatened to blacken the faces of Kumar and the organisers.The protesters, opposing Kumar's arrival, said he played a role in the alleged anti-national slogan shouting at Jawaharlal Nehru University in 2016. The student leader alleged the protesters were paid Rs 500 each to obstruct his program, The Times of India reported.After the function, however, the car carrying Kumar was pelted with stones. He was accompanied by Dr Anand L Rai, the whistleblower of the Vyapam scam.Rai said that when he and Kumar were heading towards Gita Bhavan Square after the programme, an unidentified person threw a stone at their jeep near Vijaynagar. It broke the left-side windscreen. The police is yet to file a lodge a case.Speaking at the lecture, Kumar had attacked the Narendra Modi government, calling it a "nightmare for the countrymen". Kumar was quoted by The Free Press Journal as saying, "His (Modi) government triggered intolerance in the country, terrified citizens, increased unemployment and shot up inflation. No one thought of such a government. It turned out to be a nightmare for countrymen."With inputs from PTI
