Delhi Excise Policy Case: Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on December 21 for questioning in connection with the Delhi Excise Policy case.Kejriwal has been summoned by the ED in accordance with the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).This is the second time that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). He was earlier summoned by the central investigative agency on November 2. However, the Delhi CM had decided to skip the summons. The AAP leader had claimed that the ED's notification calling him in for interrogation was unlawful and politically motivated. The Delhi Chief Minister had urged that the ED summons be withdrawn."The said summons is not clear as to the capacity in which I am being summoned i.e. as a witness or a suspect in the above-mentioned case. Please recall the said summons, which is, to say the least, vague and motivated and I am advised, unsustainable in law," Kejriwal had stated in his letter to Jogendar, Assistant Director, ED.
