Ayodhya Railway Station renamed as ‘Ayodhya Dham’ ahead of Ram Mandir inauguration
Indian Railways accepted the proposal shared by the Uttar Pradesh government to rename the station. However, the station code will remain the same.

The name of Ayodhya Railway Station has been changed to “Ayodhya Dham” Junction ahead of the inauguration of the Ram Temple.The temple will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 22."Under the guidance of the honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the name of Ayodhya Junction of the newly constructed grand Ayodhya Railway Station has been changed to Ayodhya Dham as per the expectation of public sentiments," BJP leader Lallu Singh said on X, formerly known as Twitter.Indian Railways accepted the proposal shared by the Uttar Pradesh government to rename the station. However, the station code will remain the same.The Ayodhya Dham Railway Station offers a range of facilities that surpass typical railway stations and even meet airport standards. Alongside standard amenities found in newly developed stations, such as cloakrooms, a food plaza, waiting halls, staircases, escalators, lifts, and toilets, the station features a Passenger Facilities Desk and Tourist Information Centre.These facilities provide passengers with comprehensive information about spiritual and tourist destinations in the area, including the Shri Ram Temple, and convenient means of access. Additionally, all floors are connected to fire exits, ensuring a safe evacuation route in case of unforeseen situations.
