New York: 'Zero Dark Thirty' star Jessica Chastain could play 'Jane' in a new retelling of Tarzan's story.
The 35-year-old actress, who recently got an Oscar nomination for her potrayal of a CIA agent in 'Zero Dark Thirty' is said to be the first choice for the role in a new version of the story, reported Huffington post.
If Chastain signs up for the reboot, she might be sharing the screen with Alexander Skarsgard, who has been linked to the title role.
Samuel L Jackson is rumoured to be playing a former mercenary in the film. The film will see Tarzan living in London when he is asked to investigate some problems in the Congo.
The story of 'Tarzan' has been told on the big screen several times, and there is currently a new film in the works starring 'Twilight's' Kellan Lutz in the title role.
