Jagjit Singh still in ICU, but stable

Mumbai: Ghazal king Jagjit Singh, who was operated upon at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai on Friday after suffering a brain haemorrhage, is still in the Intensive Care Unit, doctors said today.The 70-year-old legend was admitted to the hospital in suburban Bandra on Friday morning.[caption id="attachment_91995" align="alignleft" width="380" caption="Ghazal singer Jagjit Singh. He is on life support system and ventilator. He seems to be stable," Sudhir Dagaonkar of the hospital said.Brain hemorrhage is a known complication of uncontrolled hypertension or high blood pressure.In January 1998, Singh had suffered a heart attack, which led him to quit smoking. In October 2007, he was hospitalised following blood circulation problems.PTI
