New Delhi, Dec 2 (IANS) A Delhi Police head constable committed suicide by shooting himself with his service revolver in a police station here Sunday evening, police said.
Tejpal, 49, shot himself in his right temple between 3 p.m. and 4.15 p.m. in his room in west Delhi's Kanjhawala police station.
"Tejpal received an accident call around 9.15 a.m. and went to the spot. He returned to the police station around 3 p.m., went to his room and shot himself," Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Mohammad Akhtar Rizvi told IANS.
"A constable found him lying in a pool of blood," Rizvi said.
"A suicide note recovered from Tejpal's possession stated personal reason behind his suicide," said Rizvi.
A case of abetment to suicide has been registered against unidentified people, he said.
Tejpal is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter.
