Jofra Archer’s old tweets have resurfaced again after Vijay’s dominant performance in the Tamil Nadu assembly elections. The actor‑turned‑politician, leading his party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), is now the frontrunner to form the state government.
C Joseph Vijay, widely known as Thalapathy, turned his attention from films to politics and made a smashing debut during the TN assembly elections this year. Vijay's political party, TVK, secured 108 seats across 234 constituencies and is well ahead of other state parties, like the DMK and AIADMK.
However, they fell short of the majority mark, which may trigger negotiations with other parties to form the government.

As the Vijay-led TVK celebrates its dominance in the state assembly elections, Archer's old tweet resurfaced on social media. The tweet dates back to April 2015, in which he wrote, "Vijay wtf."

Archer is currently in action in the IPL 2026 season with the Rajasthan Royals. He has emerged as the franchise's best bowler after picking up 15 dismissals in ten appearances. The English pacer is also in contention for the Purple Cap, which is awarded to the bowler with the most wickets in a season.
Jofra's impactful bowling has kept RR in the top five of the IPL 2026 points table. The Riyan Parag-led side is currently fourth and is coming off a seven-wicket loss to the Delhi Capitals on Friday.
RR will be back in action on Saturday, May 9, when they face the Gujarat Titans at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
