Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's family continues to grab headlines as 10-year-old brother shines with stunning ton
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s 10-year-old brother has scored 103 runs in a Bihar cricket match, while the cricket world continues to marvel at the talent of the 15-year-old, who is set to make his senior India debut soon.

While 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi continues to awe the whole cricket world, another member of his family has started to make headlines of his own. Vaibhav’s younger brother, 10-year-old Aashirwad Sooryavanshi, has impressed with a brilliant century in a local match in Bihar.
Aashirwad scored 103 runs off just 87 balls while playing for Cricket Academy Tajpur in Samastipur district. His innings was filled with attacking strokes as he hit 20 fours and one six, showing early signs of strong batting talent in the family.
Vaibhav shared a screenshot of the scorecard on social media, congratulating his brother and highlighting his achievement. Aashirwad seems to follow the same aggressive style of batting that his brother has consistently displayed in recent months.

Vaibhav to make senior India debut soon
On the other hand, Vaibhav’s rise has been extraordinary as the teenager recently earned his maiden India call-up after a stunning IPL 2026 season. He finished the season with 776 runs in 16 matches and also became the youngest-ever winner of the Orange Cap.
He also registered his second IPL century this year, which was also one of the fastest by an Indian in the tournament’s history. Vaibhav came very close to breaking the all-time fastest IPL century record during the playoff game against Sunrisers Hyderabad, but missed out on the feat after getting out on 97 off 29 balls.
He also broke the 14-year-old record for the most sixes in an IPL season, which was previously held by the legendary Chris Gayle. Vaibhav not only outperformed every other player this season, but also scored runs at a very high strike rate and kept fans glued to the TV screens whenever Rajasthan Royals played.
Vaibhav is currently part of the India A squad in a Tri-Nation ODI series in Sri Lanka, featuring Afghanistan A and the hosts. After that, he will travel to Ireland for a two-match T20I series with the senior India squad, where he is expected to get his debut cap. If it happens, he will surpass Sachin Tendulkar to become the youngest player ever to represent India in international cricket.
Meanwhile, the 2026 World Cup-winning Indian team will have a new captain, with Suryakumar Yadav dropped due to poor form and Shreyas Iyer handed the responsibility. The team will begin their preparations for the Asian Games and 2028 LA Olympics with the upcoming series in Ireland and the UK.
