India batter Shubman Gill honoured the heroes of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks on Sunday. Gill was part of an event held at the Gateway of India in Mumbai. He spoke to the family members of the security personnel who lost their lives in the terror attacks.Apart from Shubman Gill, superstar Shah Rukh Khan also attended the 'Global Peace Honours' event where he paid tribute to the unsung heroes of 26/11.Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis were also present at the event. Founder of Divyaj Foundation, Amruta Fadnavis, said, "Global Peace Honours stands as a tribute to the unsung heroes of 26/11, a night of reflection and unity where we honor the sacrifices made by these extraordinary individuals.Shubman Gill at the World CupShubman Gill was part of the Indian team which reached the finals of the World Cup. Gill scored 354 runs in the tournament at an average of 44.25, including four half-centuries. The opener missed the first few World Cup matches due to illness. He was in good touch but could not cash in and score big.Shubman Gill was retained by Gujarat Titans ahead of the IPL 2024 auction. Gill was a key component of the Gujarat side which made it to the finals of the Indian Premier League in the 2022 season.Shubman Gill made his IPL debut in 2018 representing Kolkata Knight Riders. He scored 203 runs in his maiden campaign. Gill was acquired by Gujarat Titans ahead of the IPL 2022 season.Overall, Shubman Gill has scored 2790 runs at an average of 37.70 in 91 IPL matches. His strike rate has also been an impressive 134.07. Gill has three centuries and 18 half centuries under his belt in the history of IPL. As per multiple media reports, with Hardik Pandya on the verge of a move to Mumbai Indians, Gill will lead the Gujarat-based franchise.The Titans were in good form in 2023 too and reached the IPL final before losing to Chennai Super Kings in a dramatic clash.
