After their comprehensive win over New Zealand in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup, the first since 2003, Team India extended their stay in Dharamshala for a few days to switch off from the game and enjoy the place. Before taking off for Lucknow for the upcoming match against defending champions England, the support staff enjoyed a well-deserved day off, during which they explored the breathtaking landscapes of Himachal Pradesh.Head coach Rahul Dravid and his team embarked on the challenging yet exhilarating Triund trek in Dharamshala. The BCCI shared the video on their social media channels with the caption: “Dharamsala done. Taking some positive vibes to Lucknow next.”“Superb view coming up to Triund. Just getting here, you are going up the mountain, climbing. It’s a challenging trek, I must admit it,” said Dravid in the video. “Once you come here, the views are breathtaking, spectacular. It’s incredible for the support staff to be able to come here. Just a great day out as well,” he added.Dravid was also quick to acknowledge the risk of taking his players on this trek owing to the nature of the rocky terrain. He said that he will try to have some fun with the rest of the squad when they have some free time tournaments since he would love his players to come to this height and experience the view.Vikram Rathour, the batting coach, also shared his experience of the trek, describing their journey to Triund. He mentioned, "We are at Triund. Started from a place called Galu. It’s Beyond McLeod Ganj. When you are climbing up, the last half-an-hour trek is a little hard, but the moment it opens up, everything is worth it.”India take on England in LucknowIndia are the only side in the World Cup 2023 to play matches in all the tournament venues.
