Gujarat Titans and Royal Challengers Bengaluru are all set for an important IPL 2026 clash in Ahmedabad, with GT winning the toss and choosing to field first in what they see as a crucial stage of their campaign.

Shubman Gill made it clear that the next two games, including this one at home, will play a big role in deciding where Gujarat Titans finish in the league table. He further praised RCB, calling them a strong side and defending champions.

"Very important two points are this for you. Yes, we have got the next two games, including this one at home. So I think these two games are gonna determine where we stand and how far we go in the tournament. So the boys are ready to go," Shubman said.

"They are the defending champions. They've been playing some really good cricket. So hopefully it's going to be a one heck of a game. And I think it's all about, giving everything that you have, having the right attitude and putting in as much effort as you can," he added.

On the other side, Royal Challengers Bengaluru captain Rajat Patidar also spoke about the match situation after his team was put in to bat. He said the team was initially looking to field but backed his side to put up a strong total. He also reflected on RCB’s strong start to the season.

"We were looking to field first. I don't think the grass cover will help much. Hope we put up a good total on the board. The way we played the first half of IPL, that was good to see. It's a positive sign for us, we are looking forward to it. We're playing with the same team," Patidar said.
