Meet Natalie Harp, Trump's aide behind his midnight social media posting spree
Natalie Harp, 34, is an executive assistant to US President Donald Trump. She is said to have put up some of Trump’s most controversial posts, including one that depicted former President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle as apes and an AI-generated image of Trump as Jesus Christ

US President Donald Trump has often been criticised for his late-night posting sprees on social media.
Now, reports are emerging that Trump is being assisted by Natalie Harp, a long-time aide, with his ‘after-hours’ social media posts. Harp, 34, is an executive assistant to the US President. She is said to be behind some of Trump’s most controversial posts, including one that depicted former President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle as apes and an AI-generated image of Trump as Jesus Christ.
But who is Harp? What do we know about her?
Let’s take a closer look.
Who is she?
Harp’s official title in the White House is Special Assistant to the President and Executive Assistant to the President. She was appointed to the post on January 20, 2025. Harp was born in 1991. She did a BA at Point Loma Nazarene University, followed by an MBA at the Liberty University School of Business in 2015.
According to The Independent, Trump invited Harp to speak at the 2020 Republican National Convention. During her speech, Harp, a bone cancer survivor, claimed Trump saved her life and compared him to Jimmy Stewart’s character in “It’s a Wonderful Life.”
“I wouldn’t be alive today if it wasn’t for you,” Harp said. However, experts told The Washington Post that Harp’s claims don’t line up with the timeline of her treatment. They said Trump’s healthcare policy likely had little to no impact on Harp being cured of bone cancer.
Harp has been working for Trump since around 2022. She earlier worked as a host on the far-right One America News Network. Harp previously worked as an assistant to Trump at the Save America Super PAC. She was also part of the Donald J Trump for President 2024 Super PAC, where she worked as a research advisor and assistant to Trump.

According to The New York Times, Harp is a constant presence at Trump’s side and has even written him letters outlining her loyalty to him. “You are all that matters to me,” she wrote. When Trump was playing golf in Scotland, she ran behind his cart to keep him updated on good news about him, including posts on social media.
In the run-up to the 2024 election, Harp was given the nickname the “human printer”. This is because she incessantly followed Trump around with a portable printer and a battery pack in order to give him information in printouts. Harp is also said to be a bad influence when it comes to Trump. Colleagues have said that she gets much of her information from The Gateway Pundit, a conspiracy website that parrots right-wing talking points.
Truth Social account poster
According to The Wall Street Journal, it is Harp who puts together a handy guide of screenshots for Trump from social media. This could be anything from people praising Trump to people airing conspiracy theories and slamming Democrats and Trump’s opponents. While Trump compiles the content to be put out via printouts, it is Harp who logs into the President’s Truth Social account and posts them. Harp often does this late at night, on weekends or even over the holidays. This is no mean feat, given that, according to the Journal, Trump has put up over 8,000 posts since returning to the Oval Office.

However, the White House told the newspaper that Trump himself also puts up posts on his Truth Social account. The aforementioned posts portraying the Obamas as monkeys and Trump as Jesus were reportedly put up by Harp at Trump’s behest. The White House earlier blamed an ‘unnamed staffer’ with access to the Truth Social account for the posts.
The newspaper reported that Harp does not show the posts to other staffers before approaching Trump, leaving them frustrated. Asked for comment about the posts, White House Communications Director Steven Cheung told the WSJ, “We don’t discuss internal deliberations of how the process works, but no other social media tool has been more effective than Truth.” He added, “Truth Social has never been hotter, and it’s because President Trump offers his unfiltered and direct thoughts to the American people, without the biased media taking him out of context.”
