The crisis between Israel and Hamas is approaching a month, and it has only gotten worse with no end in sight. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated that Israel will continue "until victory."

Israel continues to carry out airstrikes, including one on the Jabalia refugee camp on Gaza City's outskirts on Tuesday, killing more than 195 people and injured around 777 others, according to the Hamas-run government media office.

With this, the Israel-Hamas conflict has fast become the deadliest and most devastating of the five battles waged between the two sides since Hamas took control of Gaza from the Palestinian Authority in 2007.

The fighting erupted on 7 October when Hamas carried out a bloody attack in southern Israel. Since then, Israel has relentlessly pounded the Gaza Strip with airstrikes that have wrought unprecedented destruction, flattening entire neighbourhoods.
