He may belong to Telugu cinema's first family — as the nephew of megastar Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan, and the younger brother of Allu Arjun, in addition to being the son of producer/distributor/exhibitor Allu Aravind. But actor Allu Sirish is currently under a tremendous amount of pressure.Sirish’s debut film — a bilingual in Tamil and Telugu directed by Radhamohan Gouravam (2013) — was a disaster. It was followed by Kota Janta (2014), an average grosser. Now his third film Srirastu Subhamastu, produced by his home banner Geetha Arts, is releasing this Friday (5 August). A lot is riding on the film for Sirish who needs a hit to keep his fledging career going and the family flag flying high.[caption id="attachment_2935174" align="alignleft" width="380"]Allu Sirish with Lavanya in Srirastu Subhamastu Allu Sirish with Lavanya in Srirastu Subhamastu[/caption]Srirastu Subhamastu is said to be a romcom, which will attract the family audiences. The director Parasuram, has earlier given hits and the music by SS Thaman has gone viral. Sirish is paired opposite Lavanya Tripathi, a former Miss Uttarakhand who has also done Telugu films like the critically acclaimed Andala Rakhasi.  In the supporting cast, are actors like veteran Prakash Raj, Tanikalla Bharani and Rao Ramesh. At the pre-release event of Srirastu Subhamastu, Chiranjeevi said he loved and thoroughly enjoyed the romcom after watching a sneak preview of the film.Allu Sirish in an exclusive interview with Firstpost said: “Yes a lot is riding for me on Srirastu Subhamastu . It is a big film which I’m sure will be a game changer for me. I have worked very hard for the last two years on my look and tried to improve my acting skills. I have taken a decision to do only romantic films which will appeal to family audiences. I’m not looking at the action hero or mass subjects, as that slot is already overcrowded. Srirastu Subhamastu has peppy music by SS Thaman and is targeted at families whom I’m sure will love it.”About his role in the film, Sirish says: “I’ve worked so far only in pure love stories, but this is a family drama. The character I play in the film, created by director Parasuram, is very close to my inner self and that got me excited and could easily relate to it. Lavanya is fantastic and her character is the pivot around which the film revolves.”A Hyderabad-based trade analyst concludes: “Allu Sirish is a smart guy, he is not trying to compete with inhouse stars like his uncle (Pawan Kalyan) or his brother (Allu Arjun). He is trying to create his own market which is the way to move forward. And as the film is produced by his dad Allu Aravind and Geetha Arts — the number one Telugu production house — this will ensure a fantastic reach across the states of Telangana and Andhra. Already Sirish has announced his next film, which means he has arrived.”
