Watch: The trailer for Pixar's Coco features an all-Latinx cast

Pixar launched its first person-of-color lead, a gorgeous art style and the promise of some solid music in the first teaser for Coco.[caption id="attachment_3337756" align="alignleft" width="380"] Image courtesy: Twitter[/caption]Meet Miguel (Anthony Gonzalez), a 12-year-old aspiring musician who is obsessed with legendary Mexican guitarist Ernesto de la Cruz (Benjamin Bratt). After touching Ernesto's guitar, he's taken, somehow, to the Land of the Dead, where his adventure begins.Coco is helmed by Toy Story 3 director Lee Unkrich.He was inspired by the Día de los Muertos, the Mexican Day of the Dead, and the film features an all-Latinx cast including Mozart in the Jungle star Gael García Bernal and Weeds’s Renée Victor.After this summer's Cars 3, this will be Pixar's second release of the year. Unkrich has called his film his 'love letter to mexico.'The film's themes and imagery will inevitably invite comparisons to the other animated Day of the Dead film, the Guillermo del Toro-produced The Book of Life (2014). But with an all-Latinx cast, we doubt that people will complain about the lack of diversity in the film.Coco hits theaters on 20 November 2017. Here is the trailer for the film:
