Toy Story 4 to now be directed by Josh Cooley after John Lasseter steps down
Toy Story 4 will release in the US theatres on 21 June, 2019.

Los Angeles: John Lasseter has stepped down from the director's chair of Toy Story 4 and now his co-helmer Josh Cooley will take the film forward.[caption id="attachment_1791753" align="alignleft" width="380"]

AP[/caption]Lasseter, who is also the Chief creative officer of Disney's Pixar, broke the news on 14 July at D23 expo here.Lasseter invited Cooley to the stage, revealing that the Riley's First Date? helmer has assumed full responsibilities of the film. The pair brought with them a behind-the-scenes look taken at Pixar headquarters that introduced the crew of the film.Lasseter may have left the direction to Cooley but he will be producing the film along with Jonas Rivera.Toy Story 4 is set to release in the US theatres on 21 June, 2019.
