Tamil superstar Ajith's upcoming Vivegam is one of the most anticipated films of the year. Directed by Siva, the film finished shooting on 6 July. The director took to Twitter to inform about the same:
In June, the makers of the film released the first song from the album, 'Surviva' and now, on 9 July, the second song, 'Thalai Viduthalai', was released on Saavn. It has become a chart-buster on the music website. Composed by Anirudh Ravichander and sung by Harish Swaminathan, 'Thalai Viduthalai', pumps high octane energy right from the first tune. It talks about never-say-die attitude and the spirit of endurance.According to a report by Hindustan Times, Ajith plays an Interpol agent and is said to have performed a lot of stunts without any body double in the film. The actor reportedly looks at his best form and also sports six-pack abs.The report also suggests that the film was made on a budget of over Rs 100 crore. This is the third collaboration of Siva and Ajith — after Veeram (2014) and Vedalam (2015). Vivegam is touted to be based around Pierre Morel's 2008 action-thriller Taken starring Liam Neeson.Vivegam also marks the Tamil debut of Hindi film actor Vivek Oberoi who plays the antagonist. It also stars Kajal Aggarwal and Akshara Haasan. It is produced by TG Thyagarajan's Sathya Jyothi Films. It is slated to release in the Independence Day week this year.
