Sherlock creators Steven Moffat, Mark Gatiss sign Claes Bang for upcoming BBC One Dracula miniseries

The Dracula miniseries will be airing on BBC One in the UK and on Netflix outside of the UK

Images via Facebook[/caption]The show, financed by Hartswood Films and co-produced by BBC One and Netflix, is the latest screen adaption of Bram Stoker's 1897 classic. It will comprise three feature-length episodes, will be set in late 19th century Transylvania and will explore the world inhabited by Count Dracula.Bang expressed his excitement on being a part of the project in a statement and said, “I am thrilled to be taking on the role of Dracula, especially when the script is in the hands of the incredible talents of Steven Moffat, Mark Gatiss and the team responsible for Sherlock.”He also said that he felt privileged to play a character as well-rounded  as Dracula. Bang has previously appeared in The Girl in the Spider's Web and the Danish TV series Borgen.The series will be airing on BBC One in the UK and on Netflix outside of the UK. The team will start shooting for the project next year.
