Rejoice Coldplay fans! Tickets for their India concert are going on sale for Rs 5000

Relax, Coldplay fans.The Global Citizen festival tickets are not priced at 25,000 as previously thought, instead, they are going to go live today on 15 September 2016 at noon on Book My Show. The tickets are priced from Rs 5000, and will go upto Rs 12,000.Earlier this week, Global Citizen initiative went live and asked fans to sign up for their charitable initiatives through activities that include tweeting, posting and signing online petitions for a chance to win tickets in their lucky draw.[caption id="attachment_169753" align="alignleft" width="380"] Coldplay lead guitarist Jonny Buckland (L) and lead singer Chris Martin. Reuters[/caption]While a majority of tickets to the event can be earned by fans for free by engaging with causes and completing 'Action Journeys', Book My Show, the exclusive partner for the event, will sell tickets across four phases through its website and app.Global Citizen will be making its first appearance in India, and the festival, a collaboration between The Global Education & Leadership Foundation and Global Citizen will be held at the MMRDA grounds, Mumbai on 19 November 2016, and will be the first of the annual festival that will be held in a different city for the next 15 years.The event produced by Wizcraft International will feature performances by the popular British band Coldplay,  Jay-Z, Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif, Farhan Akhtar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, AR Rahman, Arijit Singh, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and Monali Thakur.BookMyShow has already set up a different extension for the fest related queries. at i.e. 022-61445050 (extn-0).
