Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar's 2.0 gets sound editing nomination at Golden Reel Awards

Rajinikanth-starrer 2.0 has been nominated in the category of Sound Editing - Foreign Language Feature by The Motion Picture Sound Editors (MPSE) at the 66th Golden Reel Awards, state reports. Resul Pookutty, who is an Academy Award-winning sound designer, took to his official Twitter handle and announced the news.
2.0 was also touted as the most expensive film ever made in Indian cinema. Resul shared a screen grab of the confirmation mail that he received, talking about the nomination. He further shared that such kind of recognition is the most cherished affirmation to the technical innovation to him and his team.
The other contenders in the Awards are films such as A Quiet Place, Mission: Impossible - Fallout, First Man and Roma which are all leading with three nominations each.Golden Reel Awards is one of the highest recognitions that sound editors receive.
